Cutting:
Panel: Trim to 37″ tall. Cut 1/4″ out from the edge of the center panel on both sides to approximately 17-3/4″ wide. An exact width isn’t important.
Dark blue tonal:
Next to the last cutting step, change to: 1 strip 1-1/2″ x WOF; cut into (2) 1-1/2″ x 20″ panel top/bottom strips.
Add: 2 strips 2-1/4″ x WOF; trim to (2) 37″ panel side strips.
Completing the Quilt:
Step 1:
Replace with the following:
1a. Sew the 2-1/4″ x 37″ dark blue strips to the long sides of the panel. Press seams toward the strips. Trim to 20″ wide, keeping the panel centered in the side framing strips.
1b. Stitch the 1-1/2″ x 20″ dark blue strips to the top and bottom to complete the 20″ x 39″ framed panel. Press seams toward the strips.
